Hi everyone ! Today i wanted to put the spotlight on a trend that is mostly to become widespread in your favorite retailers, the grid print !
Also called windowpane print, this graphic and minimal trend is inspired by the criss-crossing of old window panes, made of lines that cross to form squares.
It has already started to grow in the fashion world since 2012, slowly taking over the plaid and tartan prints that can be all put in the same family.
The grid print is a refreshing subtle alternative graphic.
Until now, most of the grid looks were mostly office-ready type of outfits but I want to post how it is actually possible to rock different types styling with this aesthetic print trend.
First of all you can try the grid on grid look.
Work best with a monochromatic style for a graph-paper-like in black and white, or colored for a more pop-ish / lolita look
It's minimalist and modern !
Feeling trend shy or not into allover patterns ?
Then try the color blocking look !
Pair your grid print with basics and/or soft colors for a neutral styling !
Last but not least, the artful grid look !
